Bronzo, originally designed by Rick Valicenti and Mouli Marur at Thirst for Gilbert Paper’s ESSE, was one of the rare global successes in the 1990s’ typographic cacophony. I’ve been fascinated with Bronzo since I first saw it, in college, in 1991. I never knew why—until I decided, 30 years later, to redraw it and bring it back to the world.
